The event will begin with an opening remarks by CDTI’s Director of Technology and Internationalization (Spain) together with DOIT’s Senior Executive Officer (Taiwan), the two public organizations in charge of the management of the state aids that are provided to the companies, research institutes and universities for doing quality research under the bilateral joint R&D call for proposals “Taiwan Spain Innovation Program”, or TSIP.

The event will follow a line of presentations by top-notch research institutes, to name the INSTITUTE OF PHOTONIC SCIENCES, a top research institute with an extensive number of projects in photonic integrated circuits validated by the international science community and successfully awarded by international programs such as Horizon Europe. TEKNIKER, a well-known research center in the topic, will also share with the audience their recent research advancements in the technologies of semiconductors.

Additionally, a selected group of companies will also talk about their current technology developments and introduce projects open for collaboration to Taiwanesse companies. The list of presenters include: LEAPWAVE TECHNOLOGIES (Semicon interconnectivity), ALCYON PHOTONICS (Photonics), QUSIDE TECHNOLOGIES (Quantum and Photonics), SPARC FOUNDRY (Photonics and RF), INNOVA IRV MICROELECTRONICS (RISCcom), VLC PHOTONICS (Photonic chips), LINZA ASIP DIGITAL (Organic compounds). From Taiwan, the Electronic and Optoelectronic System Research Laboratories (EOSL) under the INDUSTRIAL TECHNOLOGY RESEARCH INSTITUTE will also introduce their research advancements in this topic.

The event will end with two additional presentations: AESEMI, the Spanish association will also provide an overview of the semiconductor status in Spain, and the office Invest in Spain will explain about public aid and opportunities for investing in Spain.

Needless to say, that all participants are invited to discuss bilaterally with any of the speakers to explore business and joint R&D collaborations.
